Heads or Tails is a DJ/producer duo based in Halifax, known for blending nostalgic progressive house with bass-heavy energy. Formed by Josh Francois and Chad Bannister, they have gained significant popularity, amassing over 1.7 million streams and headlining events like the 2025 ECMA. Their music has been featured in various performances, including at major stages like Magnetic World Piknic Electronik and Jibfest BestKind BBQ.

DJ Midwest is no stranger to Cranbrook. Known locally as the guy who brought the Happy Dad Tour to town, he’s also taken the stage at Cowboys Music Festival and every time he comes back to our stage, he brings that big-festival energy with him.

CAMPUS CUP FORMAT & RULES
FORMAT
Teams consist of 2 players.
Tournament is double elimination.
A team is eliminated after its second loss.
All tournament cups contain WATER ONLY.
Alcohol consumption is not part of tournament gameplay. No player is required or encouraged to consume alcohol as the result of any shot, miss, win, or loss.
Tournament officials have final authority on all rulings and disputes.
GAME SETUP
Each team begins with 10 cups, arranged in a triangle.
Teams use 2 ping-pong balls.
Teams alternate turns.
Each player gets one shot per turn.
A cup is removed when a valid shot lands in it.
First team to eliminate all opposing cups wins, subject to the Redemption rule below.
BALLS BACK
-If both teammates make their shots during the same turn, both balls are returned and the team shoots again.
-Balls Back can be earned repeatedly if both players continue making their shots.
SAME CUP
-If both players make their shots into the same cup during the same turn, 3 cups total are removed and the shooting team receives Balls Back.
-If fewer than 3 cups remain, all remaining cups are removed.
BOUNCE SHOTS
-A successful bounce shot counts as 2 cups.
-Once a ball has bounced off the table, the defending team is allowed to swat or block it.
-A ball thrown directly toward the cups cannot be swatted.
ELBOW RULE
-The shooter's elbow must remain behind the edge of the table at the point the ball is released.
-A shot made while violating the elbow rule does not count.
RE-RACKS
-Each team receives 1 re-rack per game.
-A re-rack must be requested before either teammate takes a shot during that turn.
-The opposing team's cups must be placed into a reasonable standard formation.
FINAL CUP & REDEMPTION
-When a team's final cup is made, that team receives one opportunity for Redemption.
-Both players receive an opportunity to shoot at the remaining opposing cups.
-If the team successfully clears all remaining cups during Redemption, the game goes to Overtime.
-If Redemption is unsuccessful, the game is over.
OVERTIME
Overtime begins with 3 cups per team arranged in a triangle.
Normal tournament rules, including Balls Back, apply.
The first team to clear the opposing team's overtime cups wins, subject to Redemption.
INTERFERENCE
Players may not:
Touch or move a ball before it has completed a valid direct shot.
Blow, finger, or otherwise remove a ball that has entered a cup.
Intentionally move the table or cups while an opponent is shooting.
Distract an opponent through physical contact or interference.
Tournament officials may award a cup, require a re-shot, or issue a warning/disqualification for interference.
MATCH READINESS
-Teams must be ready to play when their match is called.
-Teams have 5 minutes to report to their assigned table after being called.
-Failure to report may result in a forfeit at the tournament coordinator's discretion.
-Players are responsible for monitoring the bracket and being available for their next match.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Keep it competitive, but keep it fun.
Harassment, fighting, cheating, discriminatory behaviour, intentionally damaging equipment, or repeatedly ignoring tournament officials may result in immediate disqualification.
Venue rules remain in effect throughout the tournament.
Team Name Rules: Keep it fun and appropriate. No racist, sexist, homophobic, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or excessively vulgar team names. Shotties reserves the right to require a team name change or refuse inappropriate names.
Team entries are non-transferable without approval. Both players must present valid ID matching their registration at check-in.
Full tournament format, brackets and start times will be announced once registration closes.
